Can we retire the airline safety demo as our metaphor for self-care? We are NOT on a turbulent flight to nowhere, and our sparkle deserves better storytelling. 💅💫
Let’s trade in tired for truth:
💎 You don’t sparkle by chance—you sparkle by choice.
👑 You’re the QUEEN, Care for yourself like royalty.
🔥 You’re the power source. No charge = no glow.
So here’s to dropping clichés and stepping into bold, beautiful, take-up-space energy. 💃
Self-care isn’t a seatbelt, it’s your launchpad.
Protect your peace like it’s Prada.
And remember, your energy level determines how you light up the whole room.
Ok no airplane analogy but here’s a Car analogy LOL ..We often take better care of our cars than we do ourselves. We schedule oil changes, rotate the tires, and panic at the first blinking dashboard light. But when our own emotional engine sputters? We push through, smile for the camera, and pretend everything’s running fine.
Enough of that.
You deserve the same level of care, maintenance, and attention you give to everyone—and everything—else. Your well-being isn’t a luxury. It’s the engine of your life. You can’t pour love, leadership, or legacy from an empty tank.” Your energy, heart, and presence are your greatest assets. And just like any powerful engine, you need fuel, rest, and care to keep running strong.”
Oh for those that just believe your high maintenance remind them : “I’m not high maintenance—I just finally started maintaining me, you should give it a try ” It just might be the push they needed to care for themselves.
This doesn’t mean we don’t care about others. It means we finally realized what it really takes to care for others—starting with ourselves. Because true success isn’t built on exhaustion, it’s built on alignment. The best is when you pause for self-care & The world survives.”
Well-being isn’t a luxury—it’s the foundation.
✨ Prioritizing your mental, emotional, and physical health isn’t selfish—it’s strategic. It’s how we show up fully, lead boldly, and love without losing ourselves.
Mae 💗
