Change is Not a Matter of Ability…It’s a Matter of Motivation
Positive Change is possible. The secret of making something work in your life is first, the deep desire to make it work, then the faith and belief that it can work, and finally, a clear action plan to have it work. To have physical, mental, spiritual, and financial well-being, which is true wellness or overall well-being, you need to nourish your body, mind and soul. In a world, where our never ending to do lists and our emotional plates can feel overloaded, we forget to take care of ourselves. Nobody will give you permission to take care of yourself, even if you wish they would. We need to take responsibility for ourselves, so we can truly be well. We may not know how or when we will die, but we are responsible for how we live. Each of us has the power to improve the quality of our own life, one choice or good habit at a time to ensure, living a vibrant healthy purposeful life. It is often small positive changes that lead to much bigger ones…which can be the foundation for profound change.
I unfortunately have heard more than once, I am too old for that, I cannot lose weight, or I don’t have the skills for that job position, or I do not have the money to do that. These are simple justifications(excuses) for not taking action to accomplish your goals. Let’s set the record straight, if you want something bad enough, you can change to make it happen. It is never too late to change, no matter your age, weight, sex or financial situation. It is a matter of self-motivation. Whether you want more energy, to lose weight, improve your mental well-being, quit addictions, start your own business, make a career shift, find true love, build confidence, feel healthier or build financial wealth it is all up to you. You have the power to Change for the better, but will you choose to use it? The question is how badly you want it. Change can be scary and challenging, or it can be exciting and invigorating. The change I am talking about, is not from an unforeseen situation that you had no control over. This change is about learning, improving, growing, implementing, and taking action to incorporate healthy lifestyle habits for an incredible amazing healthy life. We should all be open to learn and incorporate the value of better eating habits, exercise, meaningful relationships, sex, fun, and spiritual connections. So, if you have been making excuses in the contemplation stage, STOP it is time to put any failures in the past, it is now time to prepare to begin with a new fresh solid plan. Take action to create a new empowering pattern and reinforce it until it becomes a habit. It usually takes 3 to 6 months. The work is in combating feelings of quitting or giving up and reiterating the long-term benefits of your goal. Success comes when we do not overload our goals. To start, implement no more than three goals to set yourself up for success. Too much at one time can be overwhelming and usually ends in failure. This is not about adding more stress it is about eliminating it. Take the Change challenge to incorporate a new healthy action to improve your overall health. No more excuses. It is my hope that something on the platform of www.aMAEzinghealth.com inspires YOU to dig deep and commit to taking action toward a goal today. You deserve to live your healthiest most vibrant life.
